JAVA & Co. specialty foods have been registered and approved by the state of Illinois, stating and confirming accepted products are made, produced, processed and packaged in the state of Illinois. We are a proud member of the Illinois Department of Agriculture's Buy Illinois Network.

Orders are made by hand, packaged by hand and labeled by hand. It is a time-consuming process, but it allows us (husband and wife team and owners of JAVA & Co.) to ship you the freshest product - directly from our kitchen and into your hands. For example, our caramels average four hours to make and then time for cooling down and packaging - approximately seven to eight hours - for ONE batch of ONE recipe of caramels. The coffee infused syrups average four hours to prepare one recipe and yield 8 bottles. Yes, 8 bottles. Now often, we will make a batch of 8 bottles and have immediate orders for 6 of those 8, or sometimes even 1 of those 8. Subsequent orders received of that recipe will ship immediately.

If we (JAVA & Co.) contracted with a large manufacturing plant, we'd have product sitting on the shelves - getting older by the minute, packaged and waiting to ship. And if we did this, we'd be like 98% of the companies out there - we wouldn't be JAVA & Co. specializing in made-to-order handcrafted artisan specialties.

When will you get your order? For retail orders, we ask for approximately 7 days to prepare and produce the order PRIOR to shipping time. For wholesale orders, we ask for approximately 2 to 4 weeks (depending upon the season) to prepare and produce the order PRIOR to shipping time. We love what we do and hope that you too will find that it is worth the wait!

Please place orders 10 to 15 DAYS prior to date needed - allowing time for receipt of orders, processng of payment, baking, packaging and shipping. During the holiday rush, please allow up to an extra 5 days. As always, contact us with any special order and/or last minute delivery requests - email javaandco@live.com or phone (971) 225.5220.

There are some items and categories which are ineligible for discounting, i.e., JAVA Pink! Campaign for the Cure, whole coffee beans, etc. The item in the cart may be an ineligible item. Promo codes cannot be combined with other offers, such as FREE SHIPPING, etc. Google Checkout does not recognize in-store promo codes and from time to time, exclusive Google Checkout promotions and sales are made available.

CAUSES WE SUPPORT

Earth Day - each day and everyday. In an effort to be green, go green and support green, JAVA & Co. is taking steps toward helping the earth. We know we have a long way to go, but we're doing what we can to contribute to the health of our planet.

JAVA & Co. has created an electronic press kit vs. the standard multi-paged hard copy press kit.
Emails, digital scans and electronic signatures are maximized for efficiency and savings to allow for minimal printouts and hard copy mailings.
We use reclaimed 6.8 ounce and 16 ounce glass bottles for our syrups. The 3.4 ounce bottles are new, but all of our bottles are made from glass and can be recycled or repurposed.
The wood for our handcrafted gift crates is upcycled from a local lumber yard.
The filler shreds utilized in our handcrafted gift crates are recycled, shredded newsprint.
We coordinate with the local extension office for recycling of packing peanuts and other packing materials.
Go Green and Recycle! Bring your empty (unbroken) glass flask bottles to us at the farmer's markets and receive 25 cents off of your next market purchase. Bottles must be JAVA & Co. bottles and be in re-useable condition - no breaks or cracks.

Animal Rescues & Shelters

Now you may wonder, what does this have to do with specialty food? Not a whole lot, but it is a cause very close to our (founders of JAVA & Co.) hearts. Shortly after we lost our first boxer at age five to cancer, we adopted a little girl from a boxer rescue organization. The Boxer Rescue found her in a local pound, an owner surrender. She was very sick and weighed about 33 pounds. The rescue paid for her recovery; paid to have her spayed and we welcomed this frail, sweet dog into our home on September 12, 2001, the day after 9/11. We named her Roni, which means Rejoice! She healed our hearts!
Austin Boxer Rescue. JAVA & Co. made a donation to their silent auction in support of their mission. Their mission: To balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of canines in the Central Texas area by providing nourishment and a safe environment for unwanted, stray, abused, and impounded Boxers. Once placed in new homes they become more than just pets, they become family.

N.A.S.F.T. MEMBERSHIP

In 2008, just months after we started our artisan small batch company, JAVA & Co. first was accepted into NASFT’s member candidate program – a new program designed and implemented to foster assistance and growth in specialty food start-ups. Committed to quality and with a discerning reputation - not all applications and product samples are accepted and approved for candidate membership - we felt very fortunate. JAVA & Co. submitted additional product samples and applied for full membership in the spring of 2010. The innovative coffee infused syrups and JAVA Spice launched us into favorable approval. It is a true honor to be accepted into this worldwide recognized and industry respected organization as we continue to grow our new business with the support of N.A.S.F.T.!

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

JAVA & Co. is a proud member of the Henry Area Chamber of Commerce. The Henry Area Chamber of Commerce is a medium for area business people to network, share information, ideas and collaborate on issues affecting the business community. The Chamber also serves as the organizational mechanism in bringing together private business and resources to assist the locale; provides a portfolio of services to assist member companies in growing their respective businesses; and offers assistance to firms inquiring about the area.

SHIPPING

Products may be shipped using Standard Shipping, UPS Ground or Fedex Ground from Illinois to locations within the United States. Due to the heavy weight of the custom wood gift crates and the glass bottles this has proven to be the most economical way to ship (without sacrificing product security). We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, a physical address is needed. Based upon the size of the order, JAVA & Co. reserves the right to change shippers and will pass any shipping savings on to you and adjust/credit your invoice accordingly.

STANDARD SHIPPING is available for all retail orders placed through www.javaandco.com. The standard shipping charge is $9.95 for retail orders up to $99.99. For orders $100 to $199.99, standard shipping is $19.95. The Standard Shipping Carrier is chosen at the discretion of JAVA & Co. based upon the order size and weight. Orders must be delivered to a single address. We are unable to ship to a P.O. Box. A physical address is required for delivery. Standard Shipping rates do not apply to Wholesale or ISR deliveries. UPS Ground and Fedex charges are not represented in the above amounts and will vary. UPS Ground and Fedex shipments ship Insured and include Delivery Confirmation at no additional charge. Guests have their choice of shippers (Standard, First Class, UPS or Fedex) at checkout. Checkout details the actual shipping charges based upon the guest's selection.

SHIPPING NOTES: JAVA & Co. is not responsible for shipping delays caused by the carrier, and/or caused by the weather.

Packages that are returned due to insufficient address provided by the client or packages considered nondeliverable by the carrier or unclaimed - may be re-delivered. The price of re-shipping will apply. Returned and refused packages are non-refundable. A signature is not required as a standard for proof of delivery. Please make arrangements to have your package protected upon arrival.

Signature requests are available through UPS, please choose the appropriate shipping method (UPS) when you checkout and Email requesting a signature request when you place your order. A small fee will apply. If you choose Standard Delivery and choose to have the carrier leave the package without a delivery signature, you agree to indemnify and hold both JAVA & Co. and the carrier harmless from any resulting claim.

FREE LOCAL PICK-UP at the seasonal outdoor markets where we are in attendance - is available for both retail and wholesale orders. Please choose this shipping option at checkout and be sure to include a daytime contact phone number. JAVA & Co. does not have a bricks and mortar store in Henry. Once the order is prepared, you will be contacted to set-up an APPOINTMENT for pick-up.

INTERNATIONAL orders, please email javaandco@live.com with your product interest. At this time, we are unable to ship PERISHABLE items internationally.

PAYMENT

JAVA & Co. wants your online shopping experience to be secure, smooth and seamless from ordering, through payment processing and to the arrival of your specialty food gift.

GOOGLE CHECKOUT is available for VISA, MC, AMEX and Discover credit card purchases. You will be directed to the Google Checkout web page for your credit card information and final checkout.

VISA, MC, Amex, Discover and echecks are also accepted through PAYPAL - a secure payment processing site. A Paypal account is NOT required for credit card payments. Upon checkout, you will be directed to a SECURE Paypal site with the option to pay with your Paypal account or with a credit card number.

In addition, we accept checks and money orders. Mail checks or money orders to our administrative office: Attention: Order Department, JAVA & Co., 303 Market Street, Henry, Illinois 61537. Checks may take up to 10 business days to process.

Items will be made-to-order upon receipt of processed credit card payment and/or when checks clear processing, and then shipped. Please allow up 5 to 10 days for receipt of payments, baking and packaging. Note: E-checks through Paypal may take a few additional days to process through Paypal.

SALES TAX

Depending upon the item ordered - 1% Food and / or 6.25% Candy and / or 6.25% Gift Merchandise Sales Tax is collected for Illinois orders. For out of state orders, individual consumers are responsible for reporting and paying their applicable Use Tax as outlined by their residing state.

RETURNS

JAVA & Co. GUARANTEES the freshness and quality of our products upon arrival! If your item does not arrive as described and/or as indicated, please email immediately upon receipt. For items in boxes that were damaged during shipping, please inspect shipment upon arrival and notify your courier when you take delivery. We stand behind our products. If you do not love your JAVA & Co. products, please email us within 7 days of receipt of your purchase. Just mail us back the product postmarked within 7 days after receipt of your purchase (shipment tracking is recommended) and we will either *exchange or refund where applicable. Please include a copy of the packing slip for reference. We are unable to refund the freight charges, and we cannot accept any products after that period. *Exchanged items are subject to shipping charges for new shipments.

PRIVACY

SECURITY

Our guests' security is of the highest priority. We have partnered with both Google Checkout and Paypal for SECURE credit card and payment transactions. In addition, our site is secure and protected via GEOTRUST SSL Certification.

Items may ship out with different packaging than what is listed or showcased online. JAVA & Co. will remain true to our branding and quality at all times.

DO JAVA PRODUCTS CONTAIN DAIRY OR NUTS?

Our baked goods may contain DAIRY, SOY, WHEAT, TREE NUTS and/or PEANUTS as indicated in the product description and on the nutrition labeling enclosed with the product. In addition, our JAVA Nut Syrup contains HAZELNUT OIL and/or HAZELNUT EXTRACT. Please be aware that even our products without nuts can come in contact with nuts in our kitchen, and you should take the necessary precautions. If you are sensitive to CAFFEINE, please note that each of our syrups contains CAFFEINE, except the Original Swiss Water DECAF, available in our 16 ounce glass bottle.

The Wake Up! Bath & Body Collection of products contains NUTS in the form of oils and butters, i.e., Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter. Ingredient and Allergen listings are included on the product labels. Items placed onto the skin are absorbed into the skin. People allergic to NUTS should exercise great caution and should probably avoid the Wake Up! Bath & Body Collection altogether.

NUTRITION INFORMATION

Click on the following link for the detailed Nutritional Information page. JAVA & Co. is registered with the FDA and adheres to the food labeling standards and requirements as set forth by the FDA. JAVA & Co.'s small batch production qualifies the company for the FDA Small Business Nutrition Labeling Exemption. The Nutrition Label includes the nutrition chart noting calories, protein, carbs, sugars, etc. per serving. The list of qualified firms claiming the exemption can be found on the FDA website.
